More pictures of "Basket of Roses" purse

The Roses embroidery design is topped with roses made from ribbon.

Back view of purse.

Inside purse, lace pocket holding cell phone, then a larger pocket on top of that one.  Cool, huh?

This is a button I bought on ebay to connect the handle to the purse.

side view.  It is fun to use several fabrics that blend to make up your purses.  I also used the white-with-black-polka-dots ribbon for the cording.
I am working on instructions and movie on construction for this bag.  Will be up for sale probably in November.

Movie on Drawing a Face

In this movie on drawing a face you can clearly see all things are not perfect....neither are faces.  You can do this!  We will transfer the face onto fabric later and paint it to look marvelous.  After I drew the face with erasible pencil, I then went back and drew over those lines with a scripto pen to be able to see the drawing thru fabric.  Practice, practice, but have fun with it.  Next step will be to transfer your drawing onto fabric!

Beginning to draw a fabulous face.

Today, lets start with the basic facial features.  You should do a search about "The Divine Proportion" or the "Golden Ratio" to gain a knowledge of the divine proportion of facial features.  To make it easy, I have included a grid that I refer to often for general placement of these features.   Now copy/paste this grid onto your computer and print it out.  Practice drawing different facial features just to get an idea of what you need to learn.  My next instructions will be about drawing those fabulous eyes.
